Born and raised in Itta Bena, MS, to two loving and very supportive parents who have been my sources for strength and inspiration. My aspirations have always been to inspire others and spread positivity deliberately, recognizing the uplifting power of kind words and smiles.

With an education from Leflore County High School, Mississippi Valley State University (Bachelor of Science in Computer Science), and Walden University (Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management), I have over 20 years of experience in the Healthcare IT industry. Throughout my professional journey, I have held various positions, including Senior Manager, Manager, Senior Supervisor, Supervisor, Team Lead, and Analyst. Each requiring a level of engagement with others that is truly valued. Beyond work, I am an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., serving on multiple committees including current Internal Audit Chair. Involved in many other diverse roles over the years such as Cheerleading Coach, Team Mom, Scentsy Consultant, Licensed Insurance Agent, Travel Agent, Power To Exhale Power Diva, I have learned to lean into each experience as an opportunity for my personal growth. Unknowingly, these experiences have also inspired and empowered others to believe in themselves. 

Completing the Women’s Entrepreneurship Program through Cornell University has also been a valuable asset. I am the Owner and Creator for Sistah Journal LLC, a unique stationery brand that’s all about celebrating empowerment, positivity, and transformation through beautifully crafted journals, notebooks, and more. Fueled by my commitment to purposeful positivity and authenticity, EmpowHERing Minds Inc., was birthed, aiming to motivate young ladies to embrace their true selves, conquer obstacles, and achieve their aspirations, starting with a positive mindset. I am committed to guiding each young lady on their journey towards empowerment and transformation, fostering Bold, Confident, and Beautiful leaders who are Honest, Empowered, and Resilient - embodying the essence of I am H.E.R.
